The Dana Point Harbor Water Quality Task Force is a coalition of public agencies, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and private citizens who have come together to act as a clearinghouse for activities in the harbor and to look for opportunities to improve water quality there. The group meets quarterly to exchange information, share ideas and assist in developing strategic projects that will result in cleaner water. Issue areas include:
- Urban runoff
- Baby Beach
- Water quality in the commercial core
- Headlands runoff
- Dredging
- Fuel contamination
- Boat holding tank contamination
- Sewer lines in and around the Harbor
- Water Quality improvements in the Harbor Revitalization plan
The public is welcome.
