In 2002 we received a Clean Beaches Initiative (CBI) grant from the State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) to conduct a series of investigations to attempt to find the source of indicator bacteria at Baby Beach and implement Best Management Practices (BMPs) to mitigate those sources.
As we complete our work, we will publish our reports and results on this web site. Please follow the links below to download any of our published reports.
In June 2008, the San Diego Regional Water Quality Control Board adopted indicator bacteria Total Maximum Daily Loads (TMDLs) for Baby Beach in Dana Point Harbor. See our Dana Point Harbor - TMDL webpage to find out information about these new regulations and current plans to address indicator bacteria at Baby Beach.
