The Aliso Creek Watershed runs through the cities of Lake Forest, Mission Viejo, Laguna Hills, Aliso Viejo and Laguna Beach.

This drainage area covers approximately 36 square miles and reaches the Pacific Ocean in southern Laguna Beach. The tributaries include Wood Canyon, Sulpher Creek, the Aliso Hills Channel and English Channel. Identified as an "Impaired" stream for water quality problems by the Regional Water Quality Control Board, the Reconnaissance Study for Aliso Creek also noted substantial issues with channel degradation and geotechnical instability, loss of natural habitat and recreation opportunities, and flooding.
